MolYsis is a DNA isolation kit for sample preparation in diagnostics of infectious diseases. MolYsis comprises a series of kits for selective isolation of pathogen DNA from up to 5 ml of blood. In addition to whole blood and platelet concentrates, MolYsis also specifically isolates DNA from a range of other body fluids.

The MolYsis technology is based on the removal of human background DNA and, thus, leads to the enrichment of pathogen DNA and increased assay sensitivity. The MolYsis pre-sample preparation is compatible with all other DNA isolation technologies, including automated systems, and may be used in a variety of applications.

MolYsis 16S is a series of reagents for highly sensitive PCR. Based on a proprietary purification technology, Molzym provides ultra-pure DNA-free mastermixes for PCR and qPCR. Mastermix 16S eliminates false-positive (q)PCR results and provides an unparalleled PCR specificity.
The combination of MolYsis and Mastermix 16S leads to a 20,000-fold increase in assay sensitivity compared to conventional systems.
