Metrohm’s new Compact IC instruments are revolutionizing ion chromatography. Favorably priced, rapid and easy – the user can determine anions and cations in drinking, surface and ground waters as well as in wastewater. Thanks to the MagIC Net software, routine operation is extremely simple and flexible. However, in the development of the new Compact ICs Metrohm has not limited itself to environmental analysis, but at the same time has developed the ideal first-user instrument for all customers in the pharmaceutical industry. GMP, GLP and FDA guidelines are met with ease. Thanks to the intelligent system components from the Professional IC series – iColumn, iPump and iDetector –all working steps can be monitored and documented. The combination with autosamplers and the automation of many sample preparation steps, e.g. inline titration, inline dialysis and inline dilution, also make Metrohm's Compact ICs the optimal routine instruments for the chemical and food industries. Because of the extremely low detection limits the instruments are also ideally suitable for all power plant and petrochemistry applications, as well as for the determination of anions, cations and organic acids in alternative fuels such as bioethanol and biodiesel. The MagIC Net software controls all system components, monitors the relevant parameters and in this way guarantees optimal chromatographic conditions. Metrohm grants a warranty period of three years for all instruments; for the MSM II Metrohm Suppressor Module the warranty period is no less than ten years.
